'Taking flight' features a pair of launching tawny owls emerging from an oak tree.
For me the tawny and the oak tree are synonymous - perhaps it's because the oak woodlands across the road from my house harbour these majestic birds, which often pop out to perch on the side of our house.
The warm colours evoke a setting sun vibe as the owls burst from their cover.
This piece is one of my mini-print range with the printed area measuring roughly 16 x 11cm - Each print is set on a 25 x 25cm page
This print is a limited edition of 50, each one hand signed, named and numbered in the white surround.
