Rainbow Birds - Bertha's Beach- Falklands
Bertha's Beach is located in the Falkland Islands and was visited by Shelly during her artist residency with the Royal Navy. Shelly Joined the HMS Protector on the Falkland Islands in Jan' 2017 before sailing down to the western peninsular of Antarctica on a 6-week voyage.
Penguins delight people the world over with their charming antics and quirky behaviour. The Gentoo colony at Bethas beach were a lively and endearing subject for Shelly to study. A rainbow appeared over the beach during one of her visits there making a breathtaking backdrop for the little monochrome birds.
This print measures 16 x 23 cm (printed area) with a generous white surround. It is limited to an edition of 50 and each is hand-signed, named and numbered.
