Rainbow Birds - Bertha's Beach- Falklands
Bertha's Beach is located in the Falkland Islands and where I visited during my artist residency with the Royal Navy. I joined the HMS Protector on the Falkland Islands in Jan' 2017 before sailing down to the western peninsular of Antarctica on a 6-week voyage.
Penguins delight people the world over with their charming antics and quirky behaviour. The Gentoo colony at Bethas beach were lively and endearing subjects for me to study. A rainbow appeared over the beach during one of her visits there making a breathtaking backdrop for the little monochrome birds.
