Mountain Kings - Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

Image of Mountain Kings - Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

This expansive mountain scene was inspired by Shelly's hike around the long-distance walking trail - The Tour du Mont-Blanc. The walk starts in France in the small town of Les Houches and winds it's way around the Mont-blanc massif into Italy and Switzerland before ending back in France. Along the way, walkers will encounter the incredible mountain vistas and beautiful flora and fauna of the high Alps.

The scene features three handsome Ibex rams laying claim to their portion of the mountain side. Ibex are not an uncommon sight on this route but are still a treat to see and truly are the kings of the mountains with their great strength and agility. In the background the Bossons Glacier features and to the right of the piece, Mont Blanc itself sits shrouded in snow. Regional wildflowers make up the foreground of the piece along with examples of the many insects and butterflies that can be found in the area. This piece is a real celebration of alpine wildlife and habitat.

This piece is old as one of a limited edition of 50 prints. It measures 50 x 50 cm and is surrounded by a 5cm white border in which the print is hand signed, named and numbered.

This print will be sent rolled in a tube for safety due to its size. Shelly aims to use recycled packaging where possible.
