Longing - Original mixed media study

This original mixed media painting was created in response to Shellys most recent painted dog encounter in South Luangwa Naional Park, Zambia.

A lone dog was calling for its pack and searching for them through the dried grasses.

Wild dogs cover huge distances and are capable of communicating over vast ranges through their vocalisations. Individuals that are separated with likely be reunited thanks to their incredible stamina and unique pack mentality.

This piece is a one of a kind original painting, it measures 38 x 48cm and comes framed in a wooden frame.
