This mother and juvenile Gentoo penguin pair are part of the Gentoo Colony at the Antarctic Heritage Trust's, Port Lockroy. An historic explorers hut restored to it's former glory by the Trust. The site features iconic black and red cabins which make for the perfect backdrop to set these charming little birds against, glaciers and mountains rise up beyond.

This piece is inspired by Shelly's visit to Port Lockroy during her artist residency on the HMS Protector in Jan and Feb 2017

This piece is one of a limited edition of 50, each hand-signed, named and numbered. The printed area of the image measures 50 x 83cm it will have a 5cm white border all the way around the image.

This piece will be sent out rolled in a tube due to its size.
