This atmospheric scene features a group of Black Faced Impala, a species endemic to Northern Namibia and Southern Angola. Shelly's travels take her far and wide and she draws much inspiration for her wildlife illustrations from the nature and landscapes she encounters on her travels. The colourful forms of European Bee Eaters grace the delicate bows of the Mopane bushes and the warm glow of an early morning in the Namib suffuses the scene.
